Rate Speeches collected a directory of 100 public speaking evaluation forms available on the Internet. For each evaluation form, the following information is displayed:

  • Form title: this is the title of the form as given by the author, for example: public speaking evaluation form, oral presentation evaluation form, presentation assessment form, speech evaluation rubric, etc.
  • Number of evaluation criteria: this is the number of evaluation criteria in the form; examples of criteria are: eye contact, vocal quality, organization, evidence, etc. The number of criteria quickly gives you an idea of how detailed the evaluation form is; generally, the larger the number the more detailed the form is. In the current directory, the largest number is 83, the lowest is 3, the average is 18, and the median is 15.
  • Number of evaluation rankings: this is the number of rankings in the form; examples of rankings are: excellent, good, fair, etc. The number of rankings quickly gives you an idea of the granularity of evaluation in the form; generally, the larger the number the more granular the evaluation is. In the current directory, the largest number is 11, the lowest is 2, the average is 5, and the median is 5.
  • File type: this is the type of file of the evaluation form, such as PDF, DOC, etc. In the current directory, about 60% of the forms are PDF, about 35% are DOC, and 5% are HTML.
  • Source domain: this is the domain of the evaluation form, such as .edu, .com, etc. In the current directory, about 60% of forms are from .edu, 15% are from .org, 15% from .com, and the rest are from other domains.
  • Source of the form: this is the name of the source of the evaluation form, such as a name of a university or professor publishing the form; the source may be clicked to open the evaluation form.
